The story starts off pretty sad as by the end of the Seminole wars in 1858, the Seminole population of Florida was reduced to mere hundreds. Most had been driven out of there lands, the few who remained clung to their culture and way of life. When the first sewing machines arrived the women began making amazing intricate powerful patchwork patterns, making them famous and rather successful entrepreneurs. Made from 82% wool / 18% cotton.
